FirstIdea, formerly Booth Research Group, was founded in 1989 by Dr. Walter S. Booth. Since then, we have been specializing in the recruitment and selection of Police and Fire personnel including written tests and, most notably, assessment centers. In addition, we help other public sectors and private organizations hire the best staff. FirstIdea is noted for its innovative techniques in incorporating an organization’s mission, values, goals, and philosophy into its selection and promotional systems.
We have over 60 years of combined testing experience with Fire, Police, public sector and private organizations across the nation. Every one of our consultants holds a Master’s and/or Doctorate degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Unlike other consulting firms who hand you off to “account executives” or other people who are inadequately trained and educated, at FirstIdea, our clients work with the same team of consultants from the beginning to the end of the project.
